Fire Fighting Drone Project
One of the projects I am most excited to pursue is my Firefighting Drone System (FDS), an idea that brings together Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Real World Problem Solving. This idea grew from my experiences designing, building, and driving competition robots in FRC Robotics, and realizing how those same skills could help protect lives and communities.

My vision is to create Autonomous Drones that can detect, analyze, and combat fires with minimal human risk. I want to use this project to spark interest in STEM by showing younger students and peers how Engineering and AI can tackle urgent challenges like natural disasters. Through demonstrations, mentoring, and sharing my designs, I hope to inspire others to explore robotics and problem solving in their own ways.

A key part of the firefighting drone system will be integrating artificial intelligence to help the drones make decisions on their own. AI would allow the drones to identify fire hotspots, map how fires spread in real time, and figure out the best way to act, whether that means dropping water or working together with other drones in a swarm. I want to explore computer vision, machine learning, and sensor fusion so that these drones not only respond but also learn and adapt as conditions change. This would make them much more effective in hazardous environments where every second counts.
